MABS provides technical assistance to FAIR Bank
MABS conducted a 3-day technical assistance visit to Cebu-based FAIR Bank on January 19-21. The visit was to review the bank’s microfinance products and operations and assist the bank in its preparations for offering a new microfinance loan product. MABS assisted the bank in conducting market research, preparing a new product and operations manual, and drafting an action plan for activities, schedules, needed resources, and pilot test implementation. MABS also assessed the bank’s adjustment to its Management Information System (MIS) to accommodate the new product and conducted a refresher orientation on how to administer the MABS Monthly Performance Monitoring System (MPMS) technology. The bank plans to start offering its new microfinance product to its clients this February.
