Philippine Star – The New Rural Bank of Victorias together with G-XChange, Inc. (GXI), a wholly-owned mobile commerce subsidiary of Globe Telecom, bring the benefits of mobile banking services to communities in Visayas benefiting individuals like Ate Evelyn.

Working closely with the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) and Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (MABS), a program supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bank Victorias allows customers like Ate Evelyn experience convenience in sending remittances through mobile phone banking. With the Text-A-Deposit service offered by Bank Victorias, Evelyn Villarin, who works as a “yaya” in Metro Manila, easily deposits her remittance to her bank account in Bank Victorias. From there, her younger brother easily gets the money sent by her sister on a regular basis.

To date, Bank Victorias has a total of 9,000 clients with P156M in total assets. Together with RBAP and MABS, GXI is proud to partner with Bank Victorias in continuously uplifting the unbanked and underbanked communities it serves.
