RB Cabugao introduced to the MABS Approach to Microfinance

DSCN2780Five senior managers and credit operations officers of Rural Bank of Cabugao attended the Senior Management Orientation (SMO) of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines-Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (RBAP-MABS) Program last August 5.

This orientation provides an overview of the RBAP-MABS Program and the MABS Approach to Microfinance to bank officers and key personnel. Succeeding modules include market research, product development, loan administration, pilot testing, and operations review.

RB Cabugao was established in 1969 and has grown to ten branches across Ilocos Sur. The bank serves more than 4,500 borrowers and 5,100 depositors and it is currently interested in expanding its market outreach by offering new microfinance services.
